2020: Updating of functionality of QlikView
On March 5, 2020 GMCS announced building functionality of a BI system based on QlikView for the Russian office of DB Schenker company, the international provider of logistics services.
DB Schenker is one of the oldest companies in the world market of logistics services. In Russia the regional network DB Schenker for March, 2020 is provided by offices in 26 cities. The company actively develops multimodal transportations in all directions, and some of the offered logistics services have no analogs in the market.
DB Schenker in Russia uses the QlikView platform since 2004. During this time in a system the large volume of data collected, the quantity of integration grew, and the used reports became insufficiently for ensuring business needs.
The Business Intelligence system updated forces of specialists of GMCS allows to analyze activities of the logistic company for more than 60 indicators, such as sales, income, expenses, cargo transportation, rates, etc.
For income analysis the dashbord from 35 indicators is configured, and the volume of the data coming to QlikView is several million lines. Specialists of GMCS provided a possibility of carrying out the deep analysis of a chain from creation before payment of the order, including tracking of monetary transactions to the level of delivery of the amounts on accounts. On a separate dashbord users can analyze dependence of expenses and reserves, to keep track of the number of the created orders by weight parameters and types of packaging influencing the cost of transportation of goods.

Ambitious plans for gain of presence of the company in the market of transport logistics services and also start by the updated TMS CIEL in which orders for multimodal transportations are registered, demanded modification and building of opportunities of a BI system. Taking into account specifics of the transport industry in a BI system the various analytical reporting which is necessary for DB Schenker company for high-quality ensuring the provided services is configured. For example, using a report group on DB Schenker quality control in real time traces an adherence to deadlines of receiving, delivery and order processing on the terminal. Reports also consolidate information from several subsystems, checking their correctness, allowing to reduce considerably time of recognition and reaction to problems.
Advanced reports for work with rates and financial information allow DB Schenker to analyze on a centralized basis the data entered by different divisions. Using these reports the analysis of planned and actual targets is effectively made, control of integrity and accuracy of the data is made.
The Russian office DB Schenker set for us the task to quickly finish the used reports, having enriched them with additional indicators and analysts and also to develop reports which were required in connection with data purification for start of the TMS CIEL system.
