Sibur and MTS agreed about development of a zone of the selected industrial 5G network in Perm Krai

2020: Plans of the organization of Private 5G network

On August 31, 2020 reported the SIBUR that it together with PJSC MTS is unrolled in the territory of the Sibur Khimprom plant the selected industrial network Private 5G.

The wireless network selected (private) in the territory of the SIBUR Khimprom plant will support at the same time standards 5G and LTE, and will integrate different elements of a production ecosystem of the enterprise in the closed circuit to use telecommunication networks in projects on production optimization, increase in its efficiency, security and reliability.

The pilot project based on the equipment of Ericsson will be started within eight months. At the first stage on network systems allowing to estimate its opportunities and to test different digital instruments will be unrolled. "Industrial networks Private 5G will allow us to develop more actively projects in the field of industrial Internet of Things, augmented reality, advanced analytics for quality control of products and performance improvement which are developed by specialists in industrial digitalization of the SIBUR, - the CEO SIBUR Khimprom Konstantin Yugov noted.

Deployment of 5G networks – an important element of the fourth industrial revolution laying the foundation for the innovative development of competitive national economy. MTS already has experience of creation of the selected private-networks at the Russian enterprises. It is sure that this alliance aimed at implementation in Prikamye of technologies will be able to show all advantages of the standard of communication of fifth generation in practice and will become an excellent example of how digital innovations increase efficiency of business processes and competitiveness of production, - the vice president of MTS for regional development Igor Egorov noted.
