Solvo.TOS was selected by Sogester S.A. for upgrade of four container and multi-profile terminals from Angola

On July 11, 2019 the SOLVO company reported that Solvo.TOS was selected by Sogester S.A company. (APMT and GF Sociedade Gestore de Terminais, SA) for upgrade of four container and multi-profile terminals in Angola.

According to the company, under the auspices of the Ministry of Economics of Angola at the end of January, 2019 the Sogester S.A. company signed the agreement with the official distributor of "SOLVO" in EuropeSolvo Europe B.V. For July, 2019 Sogester manages two coastal terminals in both Namibe and two internal terminals, Panguila and Viana. Under the terms of the agreement, Solvo.TOS will manage all transactions on these terminals.

The following main system modules of Solvo.TOS will be according to the plan set:

  • Module of control of vessels,
  • Module of management of the yard,
  • Module of management railway,
  • Module of management of gates,
  • EDI,
  • KPI,
  • Planning module and resource managements,
  • Module of control of the equipment.

The add-on installed modules include the automated workplace of the controller, the graphical interface of the scheduler of courts, management of a warehouse of empty containers and the graphical interface of the crane operator. Besides, the full-fledged module of drawing of accounts (Billing) taking into account the local legislation is developed. The final system complemented with all listed above functions will be supported by the single database. She will process requests of concerned parties, lines, public institutions and forwarding agents.

In general, TOS will help to eliminate human errors and to increase customer service quality.

In 2019 we will implement the updated terminal operating system (TOS) created by "SOLVO". "This system will be connected with a financial system (IFS-10), and it will allow us to have much more the best operational data, planning of courts and shipyards, the automated EDI and other communications with our clients and navigable lines.

The operating system of the terminal will also allow Sogester company to improve the terminal and other methods. It includes data transmission and voices, the video surveillance system and a monitoring system of containers made by RTE to provide to clients information in real time on a status of their containers. The implementation project of Solvo.TOS began in March, 2019 with the Namibe terminal selected from quality of the first in queue. It is expected that complete system implementation on all terminals will be complete by 2020.
