Tactical missile armament (SAP SEM (Strategic Enterprise Management))

In 2007 in "Tactical Missile Armament corporation, one of the largest associations of the Russian military industrial complex which part 14 leading enterprises are the project of expansion of opportunities the ERP system is begun.

A contractor of the project is the Microtest company (file), her specialists will perform implementation of an automated system of financial and economic management based on the SAP SEM software products (Strategic Enterprise Management) and SAP BW (Business Warehouse) in "KTRV".

A system is intended for collecting, the consolidation and information display connected with technical and economic and financial planning and control of the current activity and should lift management of corporation to new, strategic level.

The project of creation of a system is separated into two main stages. At first the methodological basis of the project including methods of consolidation of plans and budgets of the enterprises in a unified plan and the budget of corporation and also a system of key performance indicators (KPI) for monitoring of business activities will be developed. For all enterprises which are a part of corporation uniform account policy according to Russian accounting standards and IFRS, a unified plan of accounts and the unified magazine of economic transactions will be created. Delivery in commercial operation of the first stage of a system is planned for February, 2007.

At the second stage of the project the created model will be implemented on the SAP SEM/BW platform which functionality should provide the solution of the current tasks and also a possibility of replication of a system.

Software from SAP, in particular the ERP system of SAP R/3, is already used at the KTRV head enterprise for automation about 100 jobs. According to Tadviser, in it production planning and logistics and also the analysis of all cost types is performed. Development based on the modules SAP SEM and SAP BW as project participants consider, will allow to save earlier made investments and to reduce total cost of ownership software products. During implementation it is going to perform "seamless" integration of the created system with other parts of information environment of the enterprise. Successful mastering of new development will be promoted also by the experience which is already available for the staff of corporation with SAP products.

As Yury Semak, the deputy CEO for corporate construction and investments "KTRV" noted, project implementation will provide transparency of a financial and economic status of the enterprises which are a part of corporation and will give to top management an opportunity to increase quality of financial and economic management of corporation.
