GE received the purchase order of the gas turbine equipment of technology 9HA for the Zainsk state district power plant

2020: Delivery plans of the capital equipment for the power unit of the Zainsk state district power plant

On September 7, 2020 it became known that GE signed the delivery contract of the capital equipment for the power unit of the Zainsk state district power plant which will be designed and constructed by the Turkish company "ENKA" within the project of upgrade of thermal condensing power station of Tatarstan. JSC Tatenergo acts as the project orderer. The key equipment of parogazovay installation, including the powerful gas turbine in a line GE 9HA.02, the D650 steam turbine, H78 and A78 generators and also the steam exhaust heat boiler will be included in the delivery of GE.

The constructed in the 1960th years, 2.2 GW Zainsk state district power plant for September, 2020 is among large thermal power plants of Russia. The station svyazyvt the European power supply system of the country with the systems of the Urals and Siberia and develops about 25% of energy, potryablyaemy Tatarstan, including the city of Kazan and oil-producing and processing enterprises located in the territory of the Republic. Replacement of worn-out steam-power blocks with gas turbine technology 9HA will allow to increase considerably efficiency of the station, to reduce consumption of natural gas, to reduce harmful emissions and also to reduce electric power cost.

Construction of the CCGT with a total power of 858 MW will be performed based on the turbine GE 9HA.02 differing in the efficiency in a steam-gas cycle exceeding 64%. After completion of construction of the add-on power unit the Zainsk state district power plant can become one of the most effective power plant of the Russian Federation.

The base of the H class turbines GE installed worldwide for September, 2020 contains 24 power plants and in total generates 21.5 GW of the electric power. Turbines 9HA provide high operational flexibility. Besides, the combustion chamber of the turbine allows to reduce significantly emissions and to reduce impact on the environment. The power units of the combined cycle equipped with the H class turbines GE have one of the lowest levels of an issue trace.
