The automatic fire-extinguishing system based on domestic Astra Linux OS is implemented at the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant

The Astra Linux company announced on February 5, 2019 TAdviser that on the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant (China, the Province of Jiangsu) the system of the automated fire protection of power units No. 3 and No. 4 based on Astra Linux Special Edition OS is put into commercial operation    .

The project is implemented Special design bureau Tensor by request of Atomstroyexport JSC. In the automatic fire-extinguishing system it is used completely Russian software — SCADA- a system Trace Mode (development of Ltd company Adastra Moscow) for Linux Astra Special Edition OS.

According to experts of Astra Linux, the automatic control system fire protection belongs to the category large — in it more than 850 thousand signals from different devices of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant are controlled. A system provides automatic early detection of the fire and emergence of smoke in fire-dangerous premises and on personnel escape routes. Informs personnel on duty on posts on emergence of the fire with interpretation of a zone of ignition for the subsequent decision making and a possibility of the notification of staff of the NPP. Also among basic functions of a system in the company called: automatic and remote control of technology equipment of fire extinguishing systems (water, gas, powder); control of operation parameters of technology equipment of the fire extinguishing system and formation of information on the suppression course; archiving of information; issue of the summarized information in the system of the top block level of an APCS and others.

At the bottom technology level of a management system for fire protection of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant the Russian programmable logic controllers of PPKP-01F of production Tensor are used. PPKP-01F controllers have the raised reliability indicators in adverse conditions of operation. At the top level of an automated system of fire protection of the NPP the automated jobs created based on SCADA-система Trace Mode for the special purpose operating system Astra Linux Spesial Edition are used.

Despite all scepticism and statements concerning low competitiveness in the world market of domestic IT developments, this project once again became the proof of the return. In return, we confirmed the export potential of operating systems of Astra Linux which at the expense of high degree of reliability and security allow to propose the solutions demanded including in the foreign markets on the platforms — the director of a product of Astra Linux Roman Mylitsyn said.

We declared compatibility of SCADA Trace Mode and Astra Linux in 2015. Since then our software products were used in many projects, including also the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant.
