"Komplit MSK" reconstructed a backup system on 14 objects of Tyumenenergo.

On April 8, 2019 it became known that system integrator KOMPLIT MOSCOW TIME reconstructed a system backup on 14 objects of JSC Tyumenenergo. As a result management became simpler and reliability of all system increased.

According to an investment program and the strategy of Tyumenenergo in information technology field, automation and telecommunications it was decided to increase reliability of information systems and to simplify management of all complex.

in recent years strongly the volume of the stored data therefore the decision to carry out large-scale upgrade of a backup system was made increased, – Svetlana Semyonova, the head of the department of corporate and technology ACS of JSC Tyumenenergo comments. – The MSK KOMPLIT system integrator became the contractor of the project. Reconstruction was carried out in 9 branches of JSC Tyumenenergo.

For increase in resistance of information environment to machine failures, errors of the software and incorrect actions of personnel the backup system was constructed based on Micro Focus Data Protector.

As the existing equipment did not meet the increased requirements any more, specialists of KOMPLIT of MSK installed other devices. As storage systems for the central DPCs selected two tape libraries HPE MSL6480 and two storage systems of HPE StoreOnce 6600. In DPC of branches delivered 12 storage systems of StoreOnce 3540. Centralized operation by servers of backup is organized using Manager of Managers technology. And as a monitoring system and the reporting for all servers of backup Backup Navigator is used.

Additional reliability of a complex, – Boris Shitikov, the CEO of KOMPLIT of MSK comments, – we provided due to duplication of the saved data from branches in the central DPCs and replications between them. During the project performed integration with the business and critical systems, such as ERP, management system for document flow, mail system, web services, call center and other specialized systems and complexes.

Specialists of KOMPLIT of MSK reduced duration of scheduled and unplanned downtimes of a system, organized automatic backup of data with the set frequency and their recovery in case of need. Besides, the implemented system helped to create the uniform policy of management of backup copies.

It is planned that lifecycle of the platform will make 5 years and more due to updating of the equipment, a possibility of its scaling with a growth of amount of data and also use of SAN at connection of other systems. Centralized operation already considerably lowered load of the staff of IT departments in branches. The single interface and informing on system operation simplified administration of such large-scale complex. And after Tyumenenergo which was trained specialists can independently develop technical solution^[1].
