Start of Smart and Secure Port Project

The FESCO Transport Group ("FESCO," "Group"), the NtechLab Company, the technological partner of Rostec State Corporation and one of the representatives in the field of computer vision, and BINOM Integrator, the official strategic partner of the Group, are embarking on the implementation of the Smart and Safe Port project in PJSC Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMTP, ES). This was announced on September 2, 2021 by the FESCO Group.

The corresponding tripartite agreement of intent was signed by FESCO Vice President of Information Technology Dmitry Surovets, NtechLab General Director Andrei Telenkov and BINOM Integrator General Director Ivan Podoprigora.

NtechLab will offer for implementation its platform biometric identifications and multi-object video analytics FindFace Multi with functions, facial recognition silhouettes people and cars. BINOM Integrator, for its part, will be responsible for the modernization IT and engineering infrastructure necessary for the implementation of the NtechLab platform and the provision of video monitoring on the territory of VMTP.

Thanks to these technological solutions, the VMTP will create a unified system of video analysis, monitoring of labor and transport safety with a common biometric base. The technology will also allow remote access and the ability to monitor operational processes on the port in real time.

Computer Vision Implementation Plans

FESCO Transport Group ("FESCO," "Group") and NtechLab, a technological partner of Rostec State Corporation and one of the world's representatives in the field of computer vision, have agreed to use digital technologies at the Group's facilities. This was announced by NtechLab on April 12, 2021.

Among the areas in which it is planned to establish interaction are digitalization of processes at the Group's facilities using a large spectrum of computer vision analysts. FESCO and NtechLab plan to deploy various types of intelligent video analytics in the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMTP, part of FESCO) as a pilot project: identification of machine numbers, video control of ship entry, video counting of containers, and more.

The development of digital services and information systems is a key element in improving business processes in the Group. We expect that cooperation with NtechLab will allow us to improve these processes. The pilot platform for the deployment of the intelligent video analytics system will be VMTP, but in the future these technologies can be extended to other terminals of the Group, "said Andrei Severilov, Chairman of the FESCO Board of Directors.

We plan to implement essentially the first project in Russia on the use of multi-format intellectual analysts at a large logistics facility. Using neural networks, you can monitor both compliance with security measures and the correctness of technical processes. Technologies will simplify and accelerate control processes at FESCO facilities, as well as make work on them more comfortable, "said NtechLab Director General Andrei Telenkov.
