Within partnership the software developer of Car.Software entering into carmaker will cooperate with Microsoft for development of a cloud platform of Automated Driving Platform (ADP) based on Microsoft Azure.
The cloud platform of ADP is designed to optimize development process of solutions for UAVs and their integration into vehicle fleet. The technology, in particular, will allow to simplify a software update of cars. ADP will allow to reduce software development cycle from months to weeks and also to manage effectively large volumes of data.
The executive vice president for cloud solutions and artificial intelligence of Microsoft Scott Guthrie noted that use of cloud computing will allow to update "by air" software of the cars of Volkswagen company which are already in operation and to add them new features (ADAS and AD). As we turn Volkswagen Group into the supplier of digital mobility, we aim to increase efficiency of our software development constantly. We create the Automated Driving Platform platform together with Microsoft to simplify work of our developers using a uniform scalable development environment on the basis of data. Having integrated our extensive experience in development of solutions for the "connected" cars with a know-how of Microsoft in the field of cloud computing and the software, we will accelerate providing safe and convenient services, - the CEO of Car.Software Dirk Hilgenberg told.[1][2] |
