2023: StarForce Content Enterprise SmartCS Compatibility

I-Teco and Trekshen Technologies have completed the first stage of integrating their SmartCS and StarForce Content Enterprise products. This was announced by the I-Teco company on February 15, 2023. A joint solution provides control and control over access to documents containing sensitive information, even beyond the perimeter of an organization's security loop. Thanks to the introduction of the smart search engine SmartCS, developed by I-Teco, into the StarForce Content Enterprise product, information security specialists have the opportunity to search the database of protected documents by a fragment of text. This function is extremely important when investigating information leaks: by fragmentary text, the system finds the desired document in a few seconds and provides its attributes, including who got acquainted with this document and when.

StarForce Content Enterprise is a software solution that allows you to work with electronic documents as paper media. Being protected and signed, the document can be opened and read only by the persons for whom it is intended. At the same time, the document itself can go beyond the enterprise security loop, and its opening takes place using a special reader, free of charge for Windows, Linux, MacOSX, Android and iOS platforms.

SmartCS is an intelligent enterprise search system that allows you to combine all sources of corporate information into a single space for online extraction and in-depth data analysis. The system indexes all required information from contracts to transcribed texts and, upon request in a natural language, provides search results in accordance with established access rights. The integration solution belongs to the complex of ECM systems (Enterprise Content Management).

Inclusion in the Unified Register of Russian Software

On August 15, 2019, the company iTeco announced that its SmartCS solution for prompt search and in-depth analysis data was registered in accordance with Order of Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Russia 25.07.2019 No. 412 as linguistic. SmartCS

SmartCS is built on artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to help businesses and government organizations work more efficiently with information assets. The practical value is that the system integrates sources of corporate information into a single digital repository and searches them in one request. The solution works with structured and unstructured data sources, for example, CRM, ERP systems and analogues, e-mail, SharePoint; processes text, voice, and graphics information. You can also search digitized copies of documents, bitmaps, and PDF files. Using SmartCS, you can find data not only by exact phrase, but also by meaning and context.

The system retrieves the queried objects from a single digital store and determines the relationships between them. The linguistic module SmartCS allows you to distinguish from the text the mentioned individuals and legal entities, details, data on funds, GOSTs, regulatory legal acts - more than 70 types of such entities in total. This makes it possible to conduct both attributive (by details and fields) and full-text searches with conditions and filters and find documents lexically similar to the one you are looking for.

The advantages of SmartCS include the advanced capabilities of personal control of search results. The user can filter results based on customizable parameters and metadata, create individual headings, query libraries and thematic collections. The issue is formed in accordance with the corporate access policy.

Intelligent search increases the value of a company's information assets, regardless of its industry affiliation and scale. In the foreseeable future, the use of artificial intelligence in corporate search will become a generally recognized standard and will allow organizations to adapt to the exponential growth of information produced and stored. Announcement of the solution

On February 14, 2019, the I-Teco Center for Cognitive Technologies introduced Smart Corporate Search, a technology that allows you to combine all sources of corporate information into a single repository for online intelligent search and in-depth data analysis.

As noted in "I-Teco," SmartCS is a domestic development, which allows it to be included in the number, import-substituting software according to decree Government of the Russian Federation No. 1236. The system was developed by specialists from the Center for Cognitive Technologies to solve problems that reduce the effectiveness of organizations with data: time loss in search information in several systems and unstructured sources, inability to search by content - PDFfiles or filter the results obtained.

According to the developer's statement, SmartCS allows you to conduct full-text and attributive searches by phrase or query with conditions and filters, search for lexically similar documents in any corporate sources. The system has a wide functionality for managing search, setting up and customizing search results. Users can build a thematic profile, personal heading of documents, maintenance of personal request libraries. The solution is able to extract objects relevant to the request from a single data warehouse and establish links between them, automatically select such attributes of the found document as its type and date of release, the customer or executor of the mentioned project, as well as confirm the relevance of the regulatory acts specified in the documentation. Thanks to the natural language processing technology, the user can view the original document with the relevant vocabulary highlighted. Search results include objects that correspond to the user's access level, according to corporate security policy.

During the SmartCS testing phase, the functionality of the solution was noted as follows:

  • Stream extraction of typed entities from document text
  • semantic search using modern thesaurus of the Russian language;
  • highlighting the relevant vocabulary request in the text of the document;
  • displaying the search result together with its thematic profile in the form of frequency distributions of document and entity attributes;
  • semantic grouping of different names of the same theme or object;
  • maintaining a personal library of user requests;
  • automatic thematic classification of documents.
