2021: French champagne sales increased by 32%, to 322 million bottles

The total supply of champagne in 2021 increased to 322 million bottles, which is 32% more than in 2020. The market in France grew by 25% and amounted to almost 142 million bottles, returning to the level of 2019. Exports in 2021 continued to grow, reaching a new record of 180 million bottles. But he emphasizes that "average deliveries in 2020-2021, amounting to 280 million bottles and 4.9 billion euros, remain below the pre-andemic level (300 million bottles, 5 billion euros in 2019)."
