Government Commission on Federal Relations and Information Technology Issues

The commission is the coordinating body formed "for ensuring coordinated actions of federal executive authorities in the field of development and improvement of federal communication and information technologies".

Content

Among tasks there are commissions:

  • determination of priorities in implementation of the main directions of development of federal communication,
  • coordination of activities of authorities for development of information and telecommunications networks and also
  • coordination by preparation of concepts, federal, cross-industry and industry programs of development.

Structure of the commission

In December, 2011 as a part of Government Commission on Federal Relations and Information Technology Issues 14 new members appeared. In total the commission includes 33 officials. The Minister of Communications Igor Shchegolev heads it, as before.

The current updating of the commission, was generally caused by job change of her members.

In the new structure of the commission the Ministry of Health is not provided absolutely, but the number of representatives of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications and departments under control of it – from six increased to seven. The commission included the deputy minister Ilya Massukh. The died head of Rossvyaz Valery Bugayenko was replaced by his deputy Sergey Malyanov. The representative from Roskomnadzor is Oleg Ivanov now. Alexander Katulevsky who was earlier representing department in the summer of 2011 left[1].
