ID Management Technologies: Our project examination in SAP is only the beginning
The ID-Management Technologies company saved up powerful examination in the field of implementation of systems on the SAP platform. The chief executive of ID-Management Technologies Roman Konovalov and the deputy CEO Artur Ishkhanyan told about specifics of implementing solutions of vendor in the Russian market and relevant plans for business development in an interview to the TAdviser portal.
Roman Konovalov: Yes, SAP is our key partner in the direction of implementation of ERP systems. Certainly, whether customers have questions in use of domestic goods, for example, we implement 1C? Now we begin to develop direction 1C and also the direction of solutions on the basis of the open source (OS). We conduct work on Open Source, being guided by the current state policy in this sphere and we consider, for example, methodical recommendations for use of Open Source federal executive authorities which in April of the current year were released by a subcommittee on use of IT of the Government of the Russian Federation. We hope that the new directions will be as effective as the SAP solutions AG.
TAdviser: From where such commitment to SAP solutions? Tell, please, about how the competence of the company of this area formed? What can the team of your specialists?
Roman Konovalov: The first contract within implementation of ERP solutions which was signed by our company was based on the SAP solution ERP. In the years ahead we developed this success and this direction, complementing it and other solutions of SAP AG, in particular, with solutions for business data analysis (BI). At the moment solutions of SAP company the most competitive, occupied a stable share in an enterprise segment on which more and our business relies.
Our specialists implement projects based on SAP ERP BI CRM SRM EAM, mobile solutions and have experience of accomplishment of the corresponding projects in the different industries: oil and gas sector, power industry, metallurgy, retail and so on.
TAdviser: Automation of ERP – quite wide sphere of activity. Whether there are some sections which for you are profile: for example, automation of production processes, financial accounting, registration of personnel and so on?
Artur Ishkhanyan: Our company has several profile directions. The first is a business intelligence. We offer implementation and development of systems based on SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP BusinessObjects taking into account specific features and business processes of the customer for conversion and storage of the corporate data arriving from any source (the database, the tables Microsoft Excel, manual entry of data). We implement tools for formation of the procedural, analytical and mobile reporting with intuitive visualization of results. Our solutions on the BI direction help customers to obtain up-to-date and timely analytical information for acceptance of management decisions, increase transparency of activity and a status of the company, reduce costs and increase efficiency of preparation of analytical information and reports.
The second profile direction is asset management (EAM) where we have a positive experience of the solution of unique tasks. We offer the customers development of architecture of the estimate regulatory base (ERB), its subsequent integration into the solution on management of a MRO implemented by us (on the SAP ERP Plant Maintenance platform) and support of operation of all system. This solution helps the companies to unify a procedure of payments of resource requirement, to lower labor costs when forming calculations, to increase the accuracy and transparency of planning labor, material and the TOIR temporary resources.
The third important direction of our activity is transformation of SAP systems. Each company using SAP solutions has tasks of migration between systems, to reorganization of data or upgrade of systems sooner or later. It can be caused by changes of structure of business or change of IT architecture of the organization. For the solution of these tasks we offer automation and simplification of complex tasks of upgrade, consolidation and separation, reorganization and consolidation of SAP systems; creation of the test and educational SAP systems with depersonalization of data; migration of SAP systems with "zero" time of unavailability for new platforms, the equipment, operating systems and databases; automation of tasks of SAP Basis; migration on SAP the Flexible Ledger (SAP NewGL).
These services allow the customer to lower time and resource expenditure on transformation of SAP systems, to reach the minimum ("zero") time of a stop of a productive system, to completely transfer all historical data and also give the chance of productive migration without binding to the termination of financial year at any time.
TAdviser: Whether ID-Management Technologies have some historically developed specialization in implementations in certain vertical industries? Who your largest customers in the ERP direction?
Roman Konovalov: The main specialization is for today a power industry, in this industry our most big customers though, of course, there are examples of the implemented projects and in other industries.
TAdviser: What brightest ERP projects were implemented by your company for the last year?
Artur Ishkhanyan: Among the most interesting projects it is possible to select the solution on work planning of maintenance and repair of the equipment using the estimate regulatory base of the uniform complex information management system of the distributed energy company which is built in architecture. On project deliverables for the customer it was succeeded to reach the following positive effects: provide end-to-end business planning process of a MRO in a uniform landscape, increase transparency of use of resources at work planning on a MRO, provide a uniform procedure of payments of resource requirement on works of a MRO for all branches, lower labor costs when forming calculations on works of a MRO.
During this project the tools allowing to minimize costs of end users when forming calculations were implemented namely it was developed by software for mass creation of orders, copying of orders on a sample and on future periods. The tool for mass change of orders was created, the analytical reports allowing to check quickly correctness of the entered data on orders are developed. The modules allowing to consider all features of planning such as were developed: a shift method of execution of works, different delivery modes of crew on the venue of actions of a MRO. Also during the project templates which allowed to automate providing a number of reporting documents for end users were created and the software is developed for the analysis of compliance of planned and actual costs to standards for works.
The acquired experience in the course of the project allows to tell with confidence that use of estimate and normative planning allows to solve much more effectively pricing problems in asset management at the enterprises of different industries that in turn helps management of the companies to manage costs and to increase transparency through structuring estimate standards. Thus, it is possible to say that use of estimate and normative planning can promote growth of investment attractiveness of the enterprise.
TAdviser: ERP system implementation – only a part of a task. A system continues to live and it is necessary to maintain its working capacity. Whether you on support take the implemented systems?
Artur Ishkhanyan: Yes, our company performs works on support of SAP solutions. On this subject for us two options of cooperation are possible: on the basis of SLA and case-by-case. In the first case we give technical support on a periodic basis in a strict framework of the service agreement. In the second case we sign the framework agreement, and we will approve each case of problem solving or development of functionality of a system with the customer.
TAdviser: It is no secret that the ERP projects often are problem, many implementations de facto come to an end with fiasco, besides such projects also quite expensive. How in your opinion to opinion will demand in the Russian market for the SAP solutions ERP develop in the next few years which, apparently, will be for local market not the simplest?
Roman Konovalov: Demand will be as the existing Russian analogs considerably differ from systems capabilities of SAP which for last 20 years of use in the Russian market is very well adapted for specifics of our business. Perhaps, demand will be not such intensive as in 2010-2013, but the field of implementation of systems is enormous. Of course, there is a number of the companies which consider Russian analogs, including do not exclude transition to domestic software though yet there is not a lot of like those examples. We monitor a situation in the market, we prepare for the solution of alternative tasks and objectively we treat modern reality, understanding what others, not - the SAP solutions, it is possible to offer our clients in each case.
