2024: Financing of the Moscow-St. Petersburg HSR project will amount to 2.349 trillion rubles

The total amount of financing for the infrastructure project of the high-speed highway "Moscow - St. Petersburg" will amount to 2.349 trillion rubles. This was announced on November 20, 2024 by Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank.

According to him, the project financing scheme involves attracting more than 75% of funds from extrabudgetary sources, and subsidies provided by the state will be returned to the federal budget. In particular, it is planned that large banks of the country, pension funds, the National Welfare Fund of Russia, Russian Railways, shippers, as well as constituent entities of the Russian Federation will simultaneously take part in the project.
