Rostelecom creates a system for recognizing the speech of doctors

It is assumed that the professional medical speech recognition service proposed by Rostelecom will allow doctors to dictate information for maps, protocols and other documents through a special worn headset. The operator declares in the service the quality of speech recognition at the level of 96% and the ability to recognize all medical terms and expressions, as well as eliminate extraneous voices and noises.

The advantages of the new system in Rostelecom are the following: a significant reduction in the time for filling out the necessary medical documents, an improvement in the quality of medical services due to the ability to spend the time freed up on examining the patient and making a diagnosis, an increase in the number of patients served per day, an improvement in the quality of life and health of citizens.

Rostelecom intends to pilot test the technology in the Murmansk Regional Clinical Hospital named after P.A. Bayandin and, possibly, in seven more medical institutions in the region.[1]
