History

2020: 84 thousand clients in 193 countries

According to information for June, 2020 BSI conducts activity on each continent and has 87 representations in 31 countries of the world. The British Standards Institute cooperates with the enterprises of any scale – from world famous corporations before small business. In total as of June at BSI — 84 thousand clients in 193 countries.

2011: More than 80 thousand clients

For February, 2011 at BSI — more than 80 thousand clients more than in 100 countries of the world.

2010: Over 60 thousand clients

BSI is one of leaders in the field of certification of the systems of quality management and the largest certification body in the world: for November, 2010 over 60,000 clients more than in 100 countries of the world certified the systems of management on compliance to international standards in BSI MS.

The British Standards Institute acts as one of founders of a system of the ISO standards (International Organization for Standardization – International Organization for Standardization) and also the author of the national British BS 5750 standards (Quality management system), BS 7750 (the System of Ecological Management), BS 8800 (Labor protection and Production Security), BS 7799 (Information security management system), BS 15000 (the Management system for IT Services), BS 25999 (Management of business continuity) and others, many of which were accepted in ISO as international — ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 respectively).
