2024: Joint venture "1C" and "Galaxy" broke up

As TAdviser found out, in February 2024, 1C left Primquantum (formerly 1C-Galactica), a joint venture with Galaxy Corporation. Prior to that, since the creation of the legal entity, companies owned it in equal shares.

The planned joint activity did not take place. By mutual agreement, 1C left the joint venture and left it to the Galaxy, "TAdviser explained its decision to leave the joint venture in 1C.

In turn, the Galaxy chose not to comment on what they now plan to do with the legal entity.

According to the database of legal entities Kontur.Focus, "the company" Primquantum "did not bring revenue. It ended 2023 with a net loss of 91 thousand rubles.

At the time of the announcement of the joint venture in 2018, the companies set the task of more effectively meeting the needs of enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC), which consider it advisable to simultaneously use the 1C and Galactic systems.

2020: Joint venture "1C" and "Galaxy" did not take off

The 1C-Galactica joint venture has shown no signs of commercial activity since its inception in July 2018, data from FTS the financial reporting resource show. In 2018 and 2019, the company did not receive revenue, did not participate in public procurement. In addition, according to the Federal Tax Service, in both of these years the average number of 1C-Galactica employees was zero people.

In 2019, the joint venture had about 2 million rubles on its balance sheet, and 1C-Galactica ended the year with a loss of 97 thousand rubles.

In "1C" and "Galaxy" they could not tell TAdviser anything about the activities of the joint venture, which they own equally. In 2019, speaking at one of the conferences for defense industry customers, representatives of both companies in their presentations presented data on the number of organizations where their solutions are used: more than 200 defense industry enterprises use, in particular, 1C: ERP, and more than 120 enterprises - Galaxy products.

At the same time, the head of 1C, Boris Nuraliev, reminded that a joint venture had previously been formed with the Galaxy. He noted that the enterprise should simplify centralized deliveries and joint use of the 1C: Enterprises and Galaxy modules.

But, looking at the performance of the 1C-Galactica, it seems that the developers continued to work with customers separately after the creation of the joint venture.

An example of one of the customers common to both companies is Uralvagonzavod, which is part of Rostec. It uses the solutions of both vendors. In 2019, the company continued to buy 1C products, and Galactica announced its intentions to create a joint venture with Uralzavod to implement digitalization projects in it and its member organizations.

2018: Building a company

On July 30, 2018, Russian developers of corporate information systems, 1C and Galactica Corporation, announced the creation of a joint venture with equal ownership shares. The main task of the created joint venture is to more effectively meet the needs of enterprises of the military-industrial complex, which consider it advisable to simultaneously use the 1C and Galactic systems.
