2017: Reorganization in the form of a merger

By order of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated April 26, 2017 No. VB-348fs, the Interregional Department of State Road Supervision in the Republic of Buryatia and the Irkutsk Region of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport was reorganized by merging with the Department of State Road Supervision in the Trans-Baikal Territory of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport. Established Baikal Interregional Department of State Road Supervision of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport (Baikal MUGADN) in Ulan-Ude[1].

The interregional department of state road supervision in the Republic of Buryatia and the Irkutsk region is engaged in supervision in the field of road transport, urban land electric transport, road facilities, licensing related to these areas of activity.
