History

2021: Creation of a department

On November 19, 2021, it became known that a department of project activities appeared in the apparatus of the Government of the Russian Federation. The corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The purpose of its creation is to optimize monitoring of the implementation of state programs, national projects and other priority initiatives. A message about this was published in the Telegram channel of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The structure replaced the abolished department for organizing project activities. The department was headed by Julia Levitskaya, a real state adviser of the 3rd class, who previously worked in the Federal Tax Service.

"The decision on transformations was made to improve the work of the government apparatus to monitor the implementation of state programs, national projects, national development goals approved by the president, and other priority projects, including 42 strategic initiatives," the office said.

One of the main tasks of the department will be expanded monitoring of the implementation of measures and the achievement of indicators when tracking the risks of their deviation from the schedule and feedback from citizens. ^[1]
