The Federal Research Center for Problems of Chemical Physics and Medical Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences is the founder of the Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Chernogolovka, as of October 2022, one of the largest and leading institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

2022

Renaming to the Federal Research Center for Problems of Chemical Physics and Medical Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences

By order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation dated August 10, 2022 No. 752, the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science "Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics" of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPHF RAS) was renamed the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science "Federal Research Center for Problems of Chemical Physics and Medical Chemistry" of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Accession of the Institute of Physiologically Active Substances of the Russian Academy of sciences

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Science and Higher formations RUSSIAN FEDERATION Sciences dated April 29, 2022 No. 432, the Institute was reorganized in the form of joining the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science "Institute of Physiologically Active Substances" of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IFAV RAS).

2020: Development of polymer-based cathodic materials and their testing in lithium dual-ion batteries

December 29, 2020 RCTU named after D.I. Mendeleev reported to TAdviser that Russian researchers from RCTU, Skoltech and IPHF synthesized cathode materials based on polymers and tested them in lithium two-ion batteries. Read more here.

2018: Institute transferred the introduction of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 15, 2018 No. 215 "On the structure of federal executive bodies" and the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 27, 2018 No. 1293-r, the Institute transferred the introduction of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

2013: Institute transferred to the jurisdiction of the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations

In accordance with the Federal Law of September 27, 2013 No. 253-FZ "On the Russian Academy of Sciences, the reorganization of state academies of sciences and amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation" and the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 30, 2013 No. 2591-r, the Institute was transferred to the jurisdiction of the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations.

2011: Renamed into FSBUN "Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics" RAS

By the Decree of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences of December 13, 2011 No. 262, the Institute was renamed the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science "Institute for Problems of Chemical Physics" of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

2007: Renaming to RAS Institution Institute of Chemical Physics Problems of RAS

By the Decree of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences of December 18, 2007 No. 274, the Institute was renamed the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

1997: Renamed the Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences

By the Decree of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences of December 26, 1997 No. 214, the Institute was renamed the Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

1991: Establishment of the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences

In accordance with the decree of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences of March 26, 1991 No. 99, by reorganizing the Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences was created in Chernogolovka.

1956: The beginning of the Institute

The beginning of the organization of the Institute was laid in 1956, when the research site of the Institute of Chemical Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences in Chernogolovka was organized, later transformed into a branch, and then into the Department of the IHF of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
