2024: Azimut bought a controlling stake in Polet

The Azimut group of companies bought a controlling stake in the Chelyabinsk defense radio plant Polet. This deal became known in early April 2024.

As Vedomosti writes with reference to the press service of Polet, the Azimut group also includes the Chelyabinsk ZAO NIIIT-RK named after A.M. Breigin, which is associated with JSC Scientific Research Institute for Measuring Equipment - Radio Engineering Complexes (JSC NIIIT-RK). It is noted that the consolidation of enterprises for the development and production of radar equipment of systems within one structure will help increase the production of the most important products to ensure the safety of air traffic.

Azimut Group of Companies bought a controlling stake in the Chelyabinsk Defense Radio Plant Polet

Simultaneously with the sale of a controlling stake in the Chelyabinsk plant "Flight," the appointment of a new general director of the enterprise was announced. It was Alexei Naumenko, who had previously served as an adviser to the head of the company since December 2023. The press service of the enterprise noted that Naumenko has experience in anti-crisis management, taking into account the industry specifics of the company.

Chelyabinsk Radio Plant "Flight" is historically the flagship of the Russian radio engineering industry. 2023: Plan for the creation of a research and production center for the development of drones on the basis of the PRZ "Flight"

Roselectronics Holding "" Rostec will create a research and production center for tests and competencies in the field of development unmanned aircraft systems in the Ural Federal District. This was TAdviser announced on July 7, 2023 by representatives of the State Corporation Rostec. The center's base will be the Chelyabinsk Polet radio plant, which is part of Roselectronics, which is engaged in the production of radar and navigation equipment for airfields in the Rostec circuit.

It is assumed that the research and production center will focus on the development of promising products in the field of unmanned aircraft support, and will also act as a "single window" to provide regional support to technology companies in the industry. The holding's partners in this project will be Chelyabinsk State University and the InSmart group of companies.

Within the framework of the project, engineers of the PRZ "Flight" will be engaged in the creation of products for ensuring the safety and control of UAV flights. The areas of design and production activities of the center will be special ground technical means, as well as navigation and communication equipment. The "Flight" will develop circuitry, board topology, embedded software, etc. The plant will also test new products and launch them into mass production.

According to Roselectronics, the project also involves the use of the scientific potential of ChelSU in order to train highly qualified specialists for the industry. The InSmart group of companies, in turn, will take over the supply of the center with the necessary components.

According to him, the signed agreement was the first step in the creation of a regional research and production center for tests and competencies in the field of ALS. The expert is convinced that the unification of the production and technological capabilities of partner companies will speed up R&D in the development of unmanned aircraft systems, the production and testing of prototypes, as well as the entry into the market of new popular products. Dmitry Dovzhenko added that the circle of partner companies is planned to be expanded in the future in order to strengthen the scientific and production potential of the project.

2004: Joining the Vega Radio Construction Concern

On the basis of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 28, 2004 No. 569, JSC CHRZ "Flight" became part of the holding company of the vertically integrated military-industrial concern - open joint-stock company Concern Radio Construction "Vega."
