Leakage of credit stories of one million Russians

On October 18, 2019 it became known that credit stories more than one million Russians appeared in open access.

According to the Kommersant newspaper with reference to the cyber security specialist and the Security Discovery project manager Bob of Dyachenko, in addition to credit stories, in got to the Internet is complete passport data, registration addresses and the actual accommodation and also phone numbers. 

On the Internet more than one million Russians detected credit stories

The expert detected the database on October 10 and after unsuccessful attempt to contact the owner of the server on which it was, announced a problem in Bureau of credit histories. After that the base with data of borrowers is closed. But  as searchers managed  to index it,  chances that who-who could download data of Russians, remained high.

Incident resulted from an error in a database configuration on one of servers. According to the edition, the name of the database sends to Grinmani microfinancial company which issued online loans. In the company an inspection is carried out,  the CEO of Grinmani Andrey Lutsyk reported Kommersant.

The company observes all requirements for storage and personal data processing, stipulated by the legislation. Before the end of check it is premature to say that there was any leak — he told.

The Central Bank excluded the company from the register of IFI

In September, 2019 the Central Bank excluded IFC of Grinmani from the register of IFI for numerous violations. According to the results of the first half of the year 2019 she took the 13th place by the general size of a portfolio of microloans, data of RAEX demonstrate. One of the reasons of an exception of the register was the fact that it took remuneration "for service in providing data in bureau of credit histories, rendering which, society worked exclusively to own advantage".[1]
