2022: Cooperation with BASEALT

The company "BASEALT" and the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Irkutsk Region signed an agreement on long-term comprehensive cooperation. The company "BASEALT" announced this on November 9, 2022. The goal is to popularize and distribute Russian software in the region.

The document was signed by Igor Rymorenko, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Irkutsk Region, and Evgenia Krynina, Sales Director of BASEALT. The agreement provides for joint work on the transfer of the region's digital infrastructure to domestic solutions, the popularization of Russian software, as well as the implementation of educational initiatives within the framework of the national project "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation."

The Irkutsk region has set a course for the transition from imported to domestic software. Together with colleagues from BASEALT, we will solve these problems, - said Igor Rymorenko, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Irkutsk Region.

The first joint project has already started: BaseALT and Irkutsk National Research Technical University (IRNITU) have signed an agreement in the educational, production, research, innovation and socio-economic spheres. Moscow and Irkutsk specialists will jointly carry out professional orientation events, conduct educational, methodological, educational, scientific and editorial publishing activities in the preparation of bachelors and masters, together conduct research, experimental, scientific, methodological and design work in promising areas of science and technology, etc.

BaseALT will provide an expert assessment of the potential of IRNITU in the field of information technology, as well as help organize the production practice of university students. Partners plan to create conditions for the capitalization of educational, scientific and technological results in the field of information technology in all sectors of the Irkutsk region.

We are grateful to BASEALT for participating in solving the key task of the university - training qualified personnel, - said the rector of IRNITU Mikhail Kornyakov. - Russian enterprises and organizations are massively switching to domestic software, so it is necessary to teach not only future IT specialists, but also students of other specialties to work with Russian software. The university conducts this work within the framework of the state program "Priority 2030," the governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Ivanovich Kobzev provides great support in its implementation. Combining the efforts of IRNITU, the regional Government and the developers of domestic software allows us to develop additional education for students of various specialties in the field of digital literacy.

The IRNITU project is developing in accordance with the "roadmap" for the migration of the region to domestic software.

Enterprises and organizations of the Irkutsk region will have a lot of work to transfer IT infrastructures to domestic software, - said Evgenia Krynina, head of sales at BASEALT. - We will help colleagues to solve this problem quickly, efficiently and economically. Our joint immediate plans are to deploy a regional Competence Center for BASEALT products and Russian free software. 2015: Renaming IrSTU as Irkutsk National Research Technical University
