JSC ITC JET has been developing, implementing and maintaining technical training tools (full-scale, analytical and local simulators) for the operational personnel of Russian and foreign nuclear power plants for more than 20 years. The company has more than 100 specialists.

As of April 2022, the company's sphere of activity includes mathematical modeling of technological systems and control systems of nuclear power units for the purpose of their analysis, optimization and use for the manufacture of NPP simulators, development of CAD for the design of nuclear power units and their components, testing of technological algorithms of the designed power units, research of the human-machine interface, development of support systems for NPP operating personnel in abnormal situations.

History

2022: Opening of a school based on Tomsk Polytechnic University

On September 21, 2022, the School of Modeling of JSC ITC JET (a subsidiary of the State Corporation) was opened Rosatom in. Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) JSC ITC JET is a partner of TPU in the federal project Advanced Engineering Technologies"." Rosatom announced this on September 21, 2022.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of Rosatom State Corporation, Rusatom-Service JSC, ITC JET JSC, and TPU administration.

The school of modeling is designed to contribute to the development of talented youth - senior students of TPU interested in professional development in the Russian field of mathematical modeling, to train personnel to work with the domestic technology of simulator building, created and for 30 years used by ITC "JET."

Engineering and Technical Center "JET" is a partner of the Tomsk Polytechnic in the federal project "Advanced Engineering Schools." The specialization of our school - intelligent energy systems - is closely connected with the IT sphere and modern energy, the digitalization of processes in it. Therefore, the appearance of a computer class equipped with the latest software thanks to a partner will deepen students' knowledge in the field of mathematical modeling of technological processes and power facilities. As part of the project to import substitution industrial ON for mathematical modeling, Rosatom, in partnership with universities, participates in the organization of a system for training specialists who will be able to use and develop Russian software products at work. Among the joint undertakings is the creation of a community of young scientists, programmers whose interests are related to the development of digital science and the achievement of breakthroughs in the field of Russian SAI systems. The JET modeling school is aimed at creating a network of university centers in which a personnel reserve will be formed for the digitalization of industries. The School of Modeling of the Engineering and Technical Center "JET" at Tomsk Polytechnic University is another step towards creating a network of engineering and mathematical schools of our company. The school of modeling at TPU became the second within the framework of the creation of a network of engineering and mathematical schools of JSC ITC DZHET - the doors of the first educational center opened on September 1 at Kazan State Energy University.

The training will be carried out on the basis of the REPEAT software complex - a model-oriented design and mathematical modeling environment. REPEAT is a completely import-independent development of the ITC JET, which is used by design institutes, design bureaus and educational institutions to create a sovereign information environment.

During training at the School, students and graduates of TPU will be able to master the possibilities of modeling, including the development of models of energy objects and processes, the creation of digital twins, the design of increasing the efficiency of energy objects, reducing the costs of production processes and the number of downtime and incidents, as well as conducting virtual tests of the equipment being designed. As a result of the training, students will receive skills in the operation of nuclear power plants, knowledge in the field of design and engineering, and digital competencies in general.

The teachers of the School will be TPU employees who have been trained to work with the REPEAT software complex. At the same time, expert lectures and practical seminars will be held by specialists of JSC "ITC" JET. " All graduates of the School will be awarded certificates of matmodeling, and students who have submitted high-level projects will be recommended for priority employment at JSC ITC JET and other organizations of ROSATOM State Corporation.
