FC Lokomotiv is one of the authoritative football clubs in Russia and the world. The Lokomotiv team twice (in 2002 and 2004) became the champion of Russia. Five times (in 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001 and 2007) the club won the Russian Cup. Twice (in 1998 and 1999) Lokomotiv was a semi-finalist of the Cup Winners' Cup. In 2003 and 2005 FC Lokomotiv won the Russian Super Cup, and in 2005 - in the Commonwealth Cup.

Currently, FC Lokomotiv has a wide infrastructure, which includes its own sports base in the Odintsovo district, the central Lokomotiv stadium, the eponymous ice palace, as well as the LokoSport sports complex.

The Lokomotiv Football School has 11 teams and trains highly educated players for the club's main team.

The football club is actively engaged in the implementation of various sports programs: in particular, Loko Park, a sports amusement park, which includes a football field, gym, conference room, restaurants and cafes, was created on the square of the club's central stadium.

History

2020: Alexander Plutnik appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors

In December 2020, the entire leadership was kicked out of the Lokomotiv football club for failure. Alexander Plutnik was appointed to lead the board of directors. He is also on the board of directors of FC CSKA.
