2022: Zero revenue growth - up to 25.22 billion rubles

The revenue of the group's Moscow hospitals in 2022 decreased by 7.1% year-on-year to 13.01 billion rubles due to the high base effect in 2021 (the high load level of the Lapino-4 COVID center amid the coronavirus pandemic). The revenue of regional hospitals increased by 12.1% and reached 6.51 billion rubles due to the high operational results of the medical cluster in Tyumen, the planned loading of the IDC hospital in Samara, as well as the successful results of the MD Group Lakhta hospital in St. Petersburg.

The revenue of outpatient clinics of the Mother and Child network in Moscow and the Moscow Region in 2022 increased by 8.8%, to 2.63 billion rubles due to the restoration of demand for IVF after the pandemic. The revenue of outpatient clinics in Moscow and the Moscow region and clinics in the regions in 2021 increased by 7.6%, to 2.42 billion rubles and 16.6% to 2.97 billion rubles, respectively, due to the recovery in demand for planned medical care in 2021.

The net debt of the Mother and Child Group of Companies decreased by the end of 2021 to 1.9 billion rubles. The total amount of capital expenditures decreased in annual terms by 2.9% (3.8 billion rubles). Most of the capex falls on the hospital segment (84.6%), the share of expenses for the construction of new clinics and current repairs is 15.4%.

According to reports, the number of outpatient visits at the group's clinics in 2021 increased by 15.2%, to 1,858,633. The revenues of the network of medical institutions from childbirth in 2019 amounted to 2.3 billion rubles, which is 4% more than a year ago.

The group managed to somewhat reverse the negative dynamics in the number of procedures - in 2019, 18,004 cycles of in vitro fertilization were carried out, which is 8% more than in 2018, and revenue from this direction rose by 10% and reached 3.8 billion rubles.

The total number of beds in the hospital increased by 14% year-on-year to 79.7 thousand, largely due to growth in other medical services and pediatrics. For comparison: in 2018, the growth was at the level of 19%. Revenue from this area in 2019 exceeded 3 billion rubles, while the number of bed-days in the profile of "obstetrics and gynecology" (excluding childbirth), according to comparable data (like for like), decreased by 10% in 2019.

The average check in the direction of "Roda" in 2019 increased by 2% compared to the previous year and amounted to 310 thousand rubles. At the same time, in Moscow and the Moscow region, this figure reached 405 thousand rubles, in other cities - 149 thousand rubles. The average check in the Eco direction increased by 2% on an annualized basis, to 213 thousand rubles, in the Inpatient Treatment direction - by 5%, to 38.2 thousand rubles, in the Outpatient Visits direction - remained at the level of 2018 (2.9 thousand rubles).

It also follows from the financial statements that the net debt of the Mother and Child group as of December 31, 2019 increased by 20% to 3.5 billion rubles. This is due to the newly applied IFRS 16 "Lease," to which the company allocated 650 million rubles.[6]
