History

2023: Receiving RUB 690 mln of investments

Marketplace "On_Shelf" on August 17, 2023 announced that after the restart it received investments totaling 690 million rubles.

By 2024, the marketplace plans to increase its monthly turnover to 1 billion rubles.

Achieving the ambitious goal of the company will be helped by a complete team change that happened recently, geographical expansion, as well as changes in the functionality of the platform, namely updating the user's path on the site, adding additional logistics and financial services for suppliers and manufacturers, and more.

Updates will make the interaction between suppliers and buyers as convenient as possible. In particular, the changed approach will allow stores in the regions to create a customized assortment that is needed by their customers. The key plus remains the ability to find the best price for the goods in the region and select the supplier that the outlet needs in terms of shipment size and delivery date. Partners "On_Shelf" will be able to occupy a special niche in the region, as well as compete with large retail.

After the restart, the team changed, but not our priorities. The most important focus for the marketplace is still the needs of the store and its customers. Creating equal conditions for development to local manufacturers, wholesale suppliers and stores, we not only stimulate the retail industry, but also the growth of living standards in the regions, - commented Ekaterina Skribtsova, CEO of "on the shelf."

2021

Launch of individual pricing

The wholesale procurement marketplace "on the_shelf," a joint project between Sberbank and Evotor, invited suppliers to personalize prices for their buyers. Sellers can automate discounts on items based on the buyer's segment or purchase volume. Evotor announced this on November 30, 2021.

This mechanic motivates the client to make an order for a large amount and increases the average check and revenue of suppliers. The provision of volume discounts allows the supplier to increase the check by 30-40%.

This functionality is already used by about 60% of marketplace suppliers. The volume discount is usually 5-10%. With the help of this mechanics, a number of sellers have already managed to increase revenue on the platform by 20% or more.

Suppliers on_shelf can also set up a special price for some customer categories, such as grocery stores or HoReCa. This is relevant for those companies that want to enter a new business segment for them and quickly expand their customer base.

{{quote "In traditional wholesale trade, individual pricing is used, but the amount of the discount is often influenced by subjective factors, agreements between the supplier and the client. Online technologies allow you to form an offer personally for each buyer. The ability to configure discounts depending on the purchase volume and segment is the first element of the SmartPricing strategy of the marketplace "on the_shelf." In the future, we plan to introduce a flexible pricing system that will take into account a large number of parameters, including the buyer's behavior on the platform and the client's potential, "said Maxim Opilkin, Product Director on the_Shelf. }}

When forming an order on the marketplace, buyers can compare prices taking into account the final discount.

Start Vendor Quality Index

The B2b marketplace "on_shelf," a joint project between Sberbank and Evotor, has launched a supplier quality index. The index will become one of the tools for improving the quality of service on the platform. Evotor announced this on August 23, 2021.

The quality index of marketplace suppliers "on_shelf" is formed on the basis of several parameters: completed turnover, share of adjusted orders, share of cancellations, time of order confirmation. The evaluation system provides for 5 levels of service quality, where the index# 1 is received by the best suppliers, and# 5 is received by the worst. Based on the index system, the marketplace "on_shelf" will control the volume of orders transferred to suppliers. The higher the index, the fewer orders the partner will receive. Vendors with index# 5 will be temporarily blocked on the platform.

The wholesale procurement market is traditionally poorly automated, order adjustments, disruption of delivery times are considered the norm here. We want to change this situation and bring the quality of service to a different level. Satisfied customers will return to the platform, place orders and bring other customers. This means that the business of suppliers will also grow. Our task is to create conditions so that suppliers and b2b buyers do not want to interact outside the platform, "said Alexey Shiryaev, head of the b2b-Marketplace" on the shelf. "

Marketplace updates supplier indexes daily on weekdays, taking into account the performance over the past 7 days. On the one hand, such a system allows suppliers to quickly adjust their index, on the other hand, motivates them to maintain a high quality of service constantly.

The supplier index has become one of the tools for improving the quality of service on the_shelf platform. In June 2021, the marketplace presented to suppliers the regulations defining the requirements for commodity offers and the procedure for the execution of supplies. So, for example, according to the regulations, suppliers who receive more than 10 orders per day are required to update information about goods at least every hour. The confirmation time of orders with delivery on the next day should not exceed 3 hours. Vendors must not make changes to a confirmed order.

In addition to indices, the rating according to customer estimates will also affect the place of supplier's product offers on the platform. The company has also created a customer care service that helps solve problems with orders.

Non-legend for suppliers is already working throughout the platform's presence. From September 1, 2021, the marketplace includes restrictions on the volume of orders for suppliers in Moscow and the Moscow region.

Add functionality for automatic cart optimization

Marketplace "on_shelf" has developed functionality for automatic optimization of the basket. algorithms With, the system selects the most profitable suppliers for the customer. The company Evotor announced this on July 19, 2021.

According to the service, one order on average includes 18 product names (SKUs). In search of the minimum price, service users choose goods from different suppliers. However, if there are too many suppliers, it can be difficult for users to fulfill the minimum order value that each supplier has. As a result, some users throw baskets and do not make a purchase. According to "on_shelf," 35% of abandoned baskets contain offers from two or more suppliers.

Auto-selection of suppliers helps solve this problem using special algorithms. It is enough for the client to form a basket of the required number of goods, and the system will tell who is better to make an order. Most often, auto-selection can reduce the number of suppliers, but if there are many items in the cart, it can offer to split it into several orders in order to reduce the total cost.

Service customers can also use this mechanic when selecting alternative vendors if the current vendor is unable to fulfill the order for some reason.

File:Aquote1.png
The function of auto selection of suppliers for July 2021 is used by 2.5% of b2b b2b-Marketplace customers "on the shelf." According to our data, auto-selection helps to save on average 10% of the time to find offers on the platform and reduce the cost of goods in the basket by 1%. With the help of this functionality, we expect not only to reduce the number of abandoned baskets, but also to increase the satisfaction of our customers, - said Maxim Opilkin, product director of the shelf b2b-Marketplace.

"on the shelf"

Marketplace "on_shelf" was launched by Sberbank and IT the company Evotor"" in 2018 as a wholesale procurement service for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. However, against the background of the pandemic, the consumption model has changed: the demand for the purchase of products online has sharply increased, including in the service "on the_shelf." Marketplace launched a catalog for individuals and gave suppliers the opportunity to work directly with retail buyers.

File:Aquote1.png
Hundreds of retail customers collected baskets on our website every day, but could not place orders, since we did not work with individuals. At the same time, offline sales of our suppliers declined because buying traffic in traditional retail fell and some outlets closed. We decided to expand the distribution channel for them and give them the opportunity to compensate for the losses. In two weeks, we found 30 suppliers who see opportunities in the growing retail market and are ready to deliver orders to individuals,
said Alexey Shiryaev, head of the B2B-Marketplace "on the shelf"
File:Aquote2.png

In the catalog for retail buyers for May 2020, there are more than 30 categories of goods: groceries, canned food, dairy, meat and confectionery, vegetables, drinks, baby food, ready-made dishes and semi-finished products, household chemicals, etc.
