The television center is a unique, unparalleled in Russia and the CIS and the largest enterprise in Europe, a mega center that represents unlimited opportunities for the production of programs and the broadcast of leading television and radio companies in the country.

The television center is united by a large number of communication channels with transmitters of the Ostankino television tower, organizations and telecom operators that transmit programs via cable, ground and satellite channels for distributing television and radio programs, both in the Russian Federation and abroad.

Ostankino provides technical support for large-scale events covered on television and radio: state visits, large public cultural and sports events to such broadcasters as Channel One, NTV, Capital, NTV-PLUS, Europe Plus and many others.

Four technological complexes reflecting the main activities of the Television Center:

  • Broadcasting complex

This is an automated air complex of Channel One, providing the output of programs on the 5 time zones of Russia and the CIS, the hardware and software blocks of the sports channel 7TV, Muz-TV and Stolitsa.

  • Television Production Complex

the complex includes hardware and studio units, out-of-studio technical means, video recording and editing means, video recording voicing means.

contains switching hardware telecentre, internal lines of video, audio signals transmission, systems of external communication channels and distribution of television and radio programs.

  • Broadcasting complex

provides preparation, generation and broadcast of radio programs.

Modern digital, interactive and information technologies made it possible to fundamentally change the model of modern television centers, including the Ostankino shopping center. Day after day, it develops, turning into modern infrastructure.

The departments and services that make up the Telecentre ensure its successful functioning. Top management, television and radio production, Complex of art and decoration, metrology, Boarding house "Lake Krugloye," Department of Economics and Finance, production center, legal department, advertising and public relations department allow you to fully reflect the activities of the Television Center.

At the unique production base of the TTC, scenery is made and the decoration of television programs, theatrical performances, films, etc., is carried out.

Often, when working on historical series and art programs that are now popular on television, a unique collection of stage costumes of the TTC is used.

The production center of the TTC helps in the preparatory work on organizing the search for projects and programs and their technical creation.

Television and Radio Museum

The whole history of the development of the television center is collected at the Museum of Television and Radio, where anyone can look at unique exhibits: the first televisions, the oldest scripts, the rarest photographs.

Magazine "Ostankino"

In 2003, the Television Center began publishing a magazine of the same name, informing readers about the world of television, radio and digital cinema. The magazine "Television Center" is intended for both technical specialists and creative workers working in the field of broadcasting.

History

2023: Assigning Technopark Status

The television center in Ostankino was given the status of a technopark with the specialization "development and production of television and video content for domestic channels and media platforms." On March 29, 2023, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced this on his Telegram channel.

As the mayor specified, by the end of March 2023, 78 companies work in the technopark, in which more than 2 thousand employees are employed. Channel One NTV Other broadcasters remain key residents of the television center.

The development plans include the purchase of modern equipment, the modernization of the hardware and studio complex, etc. The amount of investments is 1.4 billion rubles, Sobyanin added.

Also, the status of a technopark in the field of medical technologies and pharmaceuticals was assigned to the Mosmedpark site.

The status of a technopark allows you to receive tax breaks, reduce ground rent rates. In particular, this guarantees the territory access to a preferential tax regime (income tax - 16.5%, property tax - 0%, land tax - 0.7%), as well as access to financial support from the city.

As of the end of March 2023, 51 technoparks are now operating in the capital of Russia, including seven under construction.

In early February 2023, it was reported that investors in Moscow would build nine industrial complexes and technology parks. Under a special city program, investors have already entered into agreements in the amount of about 25 billion rubles for the construction of facilities in ZelAO, TINAO, SAO and South-Western Administrative District. According to Sobyanin, a special city program encourages developers to create not only housing, but also places of employment: production, offices, social facilities.[1]
