History

2021: Accenture bought Pollux

In early March 2021, the consulting company Accenture announced the acquisition of the Brazilian company Pollux Robotics, which supplies industrial robots and automation systems. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Pollux Robotics designs and deploys fully functional assembly lines that include robots and other hardware, as well as software that manages them. The company also develops solutions for visual analytics, autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and RaaS for production shops and warehouses in order to optimize production and logistics processes.

Accenture acquired Pollux

The company's technologies are used in more than 1 thousand organizations of the production sector. The company's customers are mostly Brazilians, although pharmaceutical giants and car manufacturers also use Pollux Robotics technology in their operations in Brazil.

As a result of the merger with Accenture, more than 290 Pollux Robotics employees working in the company's divisions in Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Canada and the USA will join the Accenture Industry X group, which focuses on the manufacturing sector. By March 2021, Pollux Robotics sold more than 150 industrial robots.
