History

2024: Gazprombank bought 25% of Polyplasty

The largest manufacturer of polymer pipes in Russia, Polyplastic, has changed its ownership structure. This was announced on March 18, 2024 by Kommersant.

It is reported that 25% of the company was directly acquired by Gazprombank, and another 65% of Polyplastic went to Gazprombank as a loan pledge. The transaction was closed on March 12, 2024 and was issued at the closed-end investment fund "Gazprombank-complex." The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

The Polyplastic Group is actively growing and expanding its competencies, and we are very pleased with the opportunity to develop our potential together with such a strong and authoritative partner as Gazprombank, which makes a huge contribution to the implementation of the largest infrastructure projects in our country, - said the President of the company Lev Gorilovsky.

As explained in "Polyplasty," a package of 65% of the company is collateral for a loan attracted by SIGP (a legal entity that owned "Polyplasty") from the bank to redeem shares from other members of the group. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, in early March, Andrei Menshov, director and director of the administrative and managerial block, Valentin Buyanovsky, left the company's capital. The remaining 10% of Polyplastic belongs to the founder and chairman of the board of directors of the company, Miron Gorilovsky.

Experts interviewed by Kommersant associate this deal with the Polyplasty investment program - the company needs money to expand production. As the head of Rupec Dmitry Semyagin noted, in 2023 Polyplastic increased its capacity and launched the production of new types of pipes at five plants. In addition, the construction of two new plants in St. Petersburg and Primorye was announced. Investments in each plant were estimated by the company at 1.5 billion rubles.[1]
