2023: Building a Company

At the end of May 2023, the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the creation of the federal state unitary enterprise Novorossiya Railways, which will unite the railways Donetsk and Luganskaya People's Republics Zaporozhskaya Hersonskaya regions.

According to the press service of the Cabinet, the new company will allow building a unified logistics in these four regions, updating the fleet of cars and locomotives, as well as creating a unified system for managing the transportation process.

It is noted that employees of the enterprises "Donetsk Railway," "Lugansk Railway," "Kherson Railway," "Melitopol Railway" and the concern "Railways of Donbass" will be able to find a job in a new organization, including in the order of transfer.

The company will be in charge of Roszheldor, its head office will be located in Donetsk. At the same time, Roszheldor was instructed to ensure the protection of the labor rights of employees of railway enterprises operating earlier in the new regions. Roszheldor, together with the Federal Property Management Agency, should complete all measures to form the property of the new enterprise by the end of 2025.

According to the head of state, it is necessary to make two or three connections between existing highways in order to ensure the required amount of cargo transportation and passenger traffic.
