History

2023: Compliance with GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019

In March 2023, the test center of NIIET JSC passed the procedure for assessing competence (accreditation) for a new period for compliance with the requirements of GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019, ES RD 005-2020, ES RD 014-2020. Based on the results of the certification, a new competence certificate was obtained. The company announced this on April 11, 2023.

Pavel Parmon, Quality Director, noted that within the framework of the current procedure for assessing competence (accreditation), as well as during previous inspections, experts noted high professionalism and well-coordinated work of the test center employees.

2021: Entering the Automotive Chip Development Market

In July 2021, the Research Institute of Electronic Technology announced the entry into the market of chip development for the automotive industry. To do this, the institution received an appropriate certificate for compliance of products with international quality standards, which applies to microcontrollers. At the same time, certification of other products is planned in the future.

As noted by the commercial director of the institute, Vladimir Maleev, the development of radio electronics for vehicles was carried out by the design center of NIIET JSC. According to him, a number of products have a competitive price even in comparison with imported counterparts.

Research Institute of Electronic Technology entered the market for the development of chips for cars

At the initial stage, it is planned to supply microcircuits for the Russian automotive industry, and in 2022 it is possible to enter the foreign market. First of all, we are talking about China and Taiwan.

The auto electronics market is one of the fastest growing in microelectronics (average growth at 13.4% per year), while the industry does not require ultra-technological (for the Russian manufacturer) norms of 14 and 7 nm. Existing consumers prefer to use chips at 90 and 180 nm, - said Vladimir Maleev, whose words are quoted by the press service of the NIIET.

It is noted that the project to enter the automotive chip development market is being implemented as part of the strategy for the development of the electronic industry of the Russian Federation for the period until 2030.

The Research Institute of Electronic Technology begins to deal with automotive chips during their acute shortage caused by the consequences of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Because of this shortage, automakers are forced to completely or partially reduce the work of enterprises. The Ministry of Industry and Trade promised to solve the problem of deficit by the end of the summer of 2021. To speed up the supply of microcircuits for cars, the department connected Russian trade missions abroad.[1]
