Resource Center for Universal Design and Rehabilitation Technologies (RCUD and RT), FSAU

The FSAU "Resource Center for Universal Design and Rehabilitation Technologies" includes the only library in Russia that has unique funds, starting in 1872, in all sectors of textile and light industry, as well as related branches of knowledge.

The library fund of the Federal State Institution "RCUD and RT" has more than 500 thousand copies of literature and documentation. The fund presents various types of publications: books, periodicals, catalogs, translations, reports, GOSTs, deposited manuscripts and other publications

The library of the Federal State Institution "RCUD and RT" has an industry fund of foreign literature, which is unique in its composition, since the library was the only one in Russia that received centrally foreign periodicals and literature in the light and textile industries.

History

2023: Ministry of Industry and Trade creates ANO to support AI projects

On June 26, 2023, it became known about the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to finance projects in the field of introducing artificial intelligence technologies in the industrial sector. To do this, a special autonomous non-profit organization (ANO) is being created.

According to the Kommersant newspaper, the ANO is being created on the basis of the Resource Center for Universal Design and Rehabilitation Technologies (RCUD and RT) subordinate to the Ministry of FSAU. It is assumed that the specialists of the new structure will select promising AI projects for development in the Russian market. Among the possible directions are named: video analytical software and hardware complexes for ensuring safety at industrial facilities, intelligent vision systems for recognizing product defects on production lines, as well as computer-aided design systems capable of creating products without human participation.

An expert center can be deployed on the basis of the ANO, whose specialists will be able to advise officials in the preparation of regulations that somehow affect the AI sphere. Support for industrial enterprises is planned to be carried out "at the information, analytical and consulting levels."

Whether financial assistance will be provided is not specified. But from the roadmap approved in December 2022 "Development of the high-tech direction" Artificial Intelligence "(AI) for the period up to 2030" it follows that it is planned to allocate 24.6 billion rubles from the budget for the corresponding direction. In addition, another 99.7 billion rubles will be allocated by Sberbank for the implementation of AI projects. According to market participants, one of the most promising areas is fast memory and fast processor technologies, specialized segmentation and classification models, the development of photon processors and coprocessors.^[1]
