History

Russian Telecom Equipment Company was established in 2007. The name of the company was formalized by the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation. The first years were associated with the development of the concept. The implementation of projects and the production of products was started a little later.

The corporation was originally created as a joint venture of the State Corporation "Russian Technologies" and a group of high-tech IT companies for the production of trusted telecommunication equipment and communication systems in Russia. Russian Telecom Equipment Company is part of the holding company Roselectronics, the company is closely integrated into the Rostechnologies system. The main goal of the creation of the Russian Telecom Equipment Company is the production and development in Russia of TRUSTED telecommunication equipment, communication systems and software. To achieve the task, the Russian Telecom Equipment Company, in cooperation with world leaders in the IT industry, develops and manufactures certified telecommunications equipment on the territory of the Russian Federation using Russian solutions in the field of cryptography and encryption. Thus, Russian Telecom Equipment Company ensures the adaptation of technologies of foreign vendors, taking into account the requirements of the Russian market.

On August 23, 2023, information appeared that the FSB Investigation Department had completed an investigation into the criminal case against Evgeny Melnik, the former general director of Gollard CJSC and Russian Communications Corporation CJSC (Russian Telecom Equipment Company). 2011

In 2011, in conjunction with Crossbeam Systems (USA), Crossbeam RT was created, the main operating profile of which is the production of a universal high-performance security platform for telecom operators and large corporations. Similar joint ventures are being created in the field of computer systems, which are produced by Rostechnologies enterprises.

2010

In early 2010, the production of Alcatel-Lucent RT trusted telecommunications equipment began in Russia at the enterprises of the state corporation "Russian Technologies" (the corresponding agreement on the creation of a joint venture was signed in November 2009). The results of cooperation between the companies were first presented at the international exhibition 'Svyaz-Expokomm-2010'. The importance of cooperation with Alcatel-Lucent was confirmed during the visit of the Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Igor Shchegolev to the American Alcatel-Lucent development and research center in Silicon Valley at the end of June of the outgoing year.

In addition, Svyaz-Expocom demonstrated equipment created jointly with other world leaders in the IT industry: information security solutions for telecom operators and government organizations; receiving and transmitting antennas of satellite communication and antennas for receiving satellite television. Russian Telecom Equipment Company also presented its own innovative products and solutions: a comprehensive automated security system that allows you to combine existing monitoring systems to protect the living conditions and health of citizens, the safety of urban or personal property, the prevention of crimes and terrorist acts; IP encoder "Zaslon" is the first domestic IP encoder with high bandwidth.

On July 1, 2010, Russian Telecom Equipment Company signed an agreement with another world leader in the IT industry - SELEX Systems Integrati S.p.A. (part of the Italian industrial concern Finmeccanica, one of the world's largest manufacturers of products for the aerospace and defense industries). Another achievement that I would like to mention is due to the fact that the Russian Telecom Equipment Company equipment was first presented to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the government commission on high technologies and innovations, which took place in July.

Throughout 2010, the Russian Telecom Equipment Company took an active part in key events on information security and management systems. And the company's products and solutions were presented at the largest international and Russian exhibitions in the field of IT and telecommunications ('Svyaz-Expokomm-2010', CHIP EXPO-2010, 'IT in power-2010', Baikal Economic Forum, 'Infoforum-Eurasia-2010, etc.).

The company is active in the field of social responsibility. So, in the fall of the outgoing year, the Russian Telecom Equipment Company became the general sponsor of the All-Russian literary competition "Student Booker," created as part of the "Russian Booker" prize. We hope that with our help the competition will acquire an even larger scale and will enable students and graduate students from the most remote parts of Russia to reveal their literary talent and join modern Russian prose. In addition, in the past year, the Russian Telecom Equipment Company received the status of an official partner of the Dynamo women's volleyball club (Moscow).

I would especially like to note three important events for the company that occurred at the end of 2010. First, on December 8, Russian Telecom Equipment Company and the world leader in the production of video conferencing systems, Polycom signed an agreement on the start of local assembly of equipment in Russia. The cooperation also provides for the start of certification of Polycom equipment in accordance with the requirements for security standards of the Russian Federation. The signed agreement involves the development of cooperation between the two organizations in order to provide Russian customers with high-tech telecommunication equipment Polycom, adapted to the Russian market, taking into account the requirements of safety, functionality and reliability. Video conferencing terminals and multi-point VKS servers will be assembled in Russia. Production will be launched in the first weeks of 2011.

Secondly, we signed a partnership agreement with ESRI CIS (an exclusive representative in the CIS countries of Esri, the world's largest supplier of geo-information technologies). The cooperation provides for the development and joint promotion of geoinformation systems to the market for the public sector, including enterprises of the electric power industry and other industries.

And thirdly, together with Gazinformservice, we have developed and launched the Russian Telecom Equipment Company Inspector software complex on the market, which allows us to increase the level of security and fault tolerance of network devices. Currently, certification tests of the software package on the safety requirements of the FSTEC of Russia are being carried out .
