Opening of the Master's Program "Artificial Intelligence and Data Science"

Sberbank and St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg State University) have opened a master's degree educational program "Artificial Intelligence and Data Science." This agreement was signed on December 1, 2023 by the Managing Director, Head of the Directorate of Academic Partnerships of Sberbank Andrei Ocheretny and the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of St. Petersburg State University Marina Lavrikova.

At this graduate program, students will study applied machine learning tasks, including those related to large language models and their use in business tasks. Students will try to develop applications using Sberbank's artificial intelligence GigaChat. The program also has a special course on the use of artificial intelligence technologies to solve problems arising in the Arctic region of Russia.

One of the distinctive features of the educational program is the tripartite implementation. Part of the classes will be held at the university, the other two - on the basis of Sberbank and in the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Machine learning specialists are among the most in demand on the market. Sberbank, as a large Russian employer for digital talents, is interested in raising highly qualified personnel in this area together with one of the best universities in the country, said Andrey Ocheretny, Managing Director, Head of the Directorate of Academic Partnerships of Sberbank.

2022: Agreement with Spectrum to prepare 5G developers

Cooperation with Netrika to develop programs for basic and additional education
