History

2004-2012

CJSC VTB Bank (Armenia) became a member of VTB International Financial Group in April 2004.

In March 2004, the Russian state-owned Vneshtorgbank acquired 70% + 1 share of Armsberbank. In 2006, it was renamed VTB Bank (Armenia). In July 2007, VTB bought out the rest of the bank's shares, becoming its sole shareholder.

By 2012, the second largest VTB Bank in Russia (OJSC) owns 100% of the shares of VTB Bank (Armenia). The bank is traditionally among the leaders of the RA banking system in a number of key indicators. By 2012, it owns the largest branch network in the country - 68 branches.
