2021: Sberbank bought LLC Yo-engineering

The bank said that the team and competencies of Yo-Engineering will be used to work on Sber Automotive Technologies (SberAutoTech), develop a platform for autonomous vehicles, unmanned vehicles and technologies.

According to the newspaper's sources, Sberbank is generally interested in having a team of car engineers with experience that is difficult to find on the market. Analysts interviewed by Kommersant also do not see a direct connection between electric mobility competencies, which no one takes to evaluate, and drones.

Dmitry Babansky from SBS Consulting told the newspaper that Sberbank is actively developing logistics areas, and drones are "a promising solution to logistical problems in the long term, especially in freight transportation."^[1]

2010-2014

"Yo-engineering" in 2010 worked on the Russian project of the hybrid car "Yo-mobile." The closure of the project was announced four years after its launch - in April 2014. Investments in the project were estimated at €260 million. All developments were transferred to the NAMI Motor Research Institute.

"Yo-mobile" nevertheless appeared on the conveyor. One of its modifications under the name "e-Crossback" by the end of 2014 came off it in the amount of four copies, one of which Mikhail Prokhorov left for himself, and the second presented to Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
