Biography
Dmitry Ufaev was born in 1975.
Education
He graduated Rostov State University of Economics with a degree in Economics and Law, the university's MBA program Synergy"," Blockchain and the Strategy program at Said Business School at Oxford University.
2002-2008
From 2002 to 2008 Ufaev worked at Rosbusinessconsulting (now RBC) as a managing partner, where he was responsible for the development of IT systems for companies from the Top500 and Government list. Later, he headed the entire web hosting and domain business organization, which tentatively controlled 25% of the web hosting market and 20% of the domain market in Russia.
2009-2014
From 2009 to 2014 Ufaev was vice president for IT of the private educational holding Synergy, where he created the platform for distance learning Megacampus, as well as the business process automation system for Akada educational institutions.
In parallel with his work at Synergy in 2010, Ufaev and partners founded the Biglion startup, in which he later sold and started creating technology projects in Silicon Valley.
2014-2018
From 2014 to 2018 The businessman worked in the Moscow government as an IT adviser to the head, department transport where he oversaw more than 150 systems of the capital's transport complex, including systems for paying for travel, regulating traffic, and video surveillances controlling parking.
2017-2019
From 2017 to 2019 Dmitry Ufaev worked as the general director of the Russian office of the Bitfury Group. In December 2019, he left this blockchain company to focus on his own project in the United States. What business was discussed was not specified.
2021: Appointment to the post of Deputy General Director of Gazprom Media
On March 9, 2021, Gazprom Media announced the appointment of Dmitry Ufaev to the post of deputy general director of the holding. On this position the ex-adviser to the head of the Moscow department of a transportamaksim Liksutov will be responsible for projects of digital transformation of the company and the assets entering it.
Before becoming the deputy general director of Gazprom Media, Dmitry Ufaev worked as an adviser to the head of the holding, Alexander Zharov. The latter commented on the appointment of Ufaev as follows:

Earlier, the direction of the digital transformation of Gazprom Media was the responsibility of Svetlana Balanova, who left the holding in February 2021 to head a competitor - the National Media Group.
