InfoArchive 4.1

On November 30, 2016 the Dell company declared a release of the version of InfoArchive 4.1. It helps to simplify access and work with information. The archive platform provides convenient and secure access to valuable information, at the same time providing control of use of data that allows the companies to conform to requirements of regulators.

As the developer company reported, the InfoArchive 4.1 platform provides full compatibility and support of Dell EMC Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS), guarantees to this InfoArchive 4.1 the high level of data availability, readiness of storage systems for analytics, almost infinite scaling, conforming to requirements of customers to storage and reuse of information.

Functions of synchronous obtaining information allow to use it at once, increasing employees productivity as they can quickly get access to necessary data.

Possibilities of export of data from InfoArchive are expanded. The selected information can be displayed and exported in widespread file formats, including PDF, CSV XML, JSON or HTML.

Open Text buys division of corporate content of EMC for $1.6 billion

In September, 2016 Open Text announced that it signed the final agreement with Dell EMC about purchase from the last of division of corporate content (Enterprise Content Division (ECD), including product families of Documentum, InfoArchive and Leap. Initially the InfoArchive platform was developed by EMC company. After Dell absorbed EMC and sold a part of its assets.

InfoArchive 4.0

On June 9, 2016 the division of Enterprise Content Division (ECD) of EMC submitted the version[1].

The high efficiency of EMC InfoArchive 4.0 expands possibilities of protection and use of large volumes of crucial data and content.

EMC InfoArchive 4.0 is created on the basis of horizontally scalable architecture, in its structure flexible opportunities of the reporting and access to large volumes of data and content. The product is developed especially for archiving of the structured and unstructured data sources and dependences at uniform architecture.

Scenarios of extreme archiving in petabyte scale become more and more important for two reasons. First, management of large volumes of the structured and unstructured data which are created and processed today is extremely difficult task. Secondly, need to conform to requirements exists in the regulated industries, such as financial structures, and it only amplifies. Therefore customers need the suitable solutions capable to give the answer to both calls and also to provide cost reduction and quality improvement of data analysis which should define the decisions made by business substantially.

EMC InfoArchive 4.0 conforms to requirements of regulators and responds to difficulties of business among which there are volumes and a variety of information, change of rules of supervision, complexity of legal base. Functionality provide management of preserving of data, the permitted support, data encryption and compliance to requirements of PCI without the need for copying or a reprocessing of data after their extraction. Compliance to requirements of the corporate level, such as Dodd-Frank in the USA, MiFID2/R in the EU, (OFSI) E-13 in Canada can provide EMC InfoArchive 4.0.

EMC InfoArchive 4.0 can provide legal data access for work with Hadoop. Together with EMC InfoArchive 4.0 regulated information and records can be used in analytics of Big Data at the minimum cost of ownership (TCO) and without abuse of regulations of regulators.

From this version of EMC InfoArchive helps customers to manage data transmission in SAP, managing lifecycle of applications. The EMC platform supports active archiving of production systems of SAP in EMC InfoArchive at the expense of SAP Archivelink that provides to users access and an opportunity to obtain data by means of the built-in tools of SAP, to manage on a centralized basis data in one repository and to provide compliance to requirements normative and corporate the politician.

In the version of EMC InfoArchive 4.0 the SAP Application Retirement technology and decommissioning as a result of cooperation with PBS Software GmbH and EPI-USE Labs is supported. Partner solutions allow EMC to provide to users of SAP sure transition to SAP HANA technologies, SAP S4HANA and a cloud solution of SAP SuccessFactors. EMC InfoArchive manages data in transition time, unloading inactive information from SAP before migration.

The solution EMC InfoArchive 4.0 a camp is available to the order in June, 2016. The cost of EMC InfoArchive is determined by volume counting on 1 TB.

2015: InfoArchive 3.2

On July 15, 2015 EMC announced an output to the Russian market of the version of InfoArchive 3.2. She is let out to the world market in May, 2015.

EMC InfoArchive takes and moves from applications to archive data, according to the certain rules considering data type, transfer time, etc. Deleting noncritical data, the company can receive an essential gain of performance of systems and reduce storage expenses.
