Release of EVO-1

On November 11, 2020 the Evokargo company announced TAdviser release on the market of the pilotless truck. Malotonnazhnik is completely based by EVO-1 on the Russian developments, equipped with a hybrid supply system from electric batteries and hydrogen fuel elements, supports technologies of interaction from the "smart road" (V2X) connected by infrastructure.

Several low-tonnage electric autonomous Evokargo trucks by the preorder which will begin to be delivered in April, 2021 prepare for production. The first buyers of the UAV — the enterprise of the oil and gas industry, owners of warehouse complexes and the logistic companies.

At the first stage the Evokargo trucks will be used in the closed territories, providing high degree of security.

For November 11, 2020 the Evokargo truck passed on an intellectual segment of the Central Ring Road, having shown readiness of the pilotless platform for operation at trunk transportations. In this case the machine moves in active interaction with the connected elements of road infrastructure (V2X) and the system of the smart road under the safe protocol.

This product — a part of future ecosystem which creates Evokargo, according to the business model of providing services on transportation of goods using electric UAVs (Driverless-Truck-as-a-Service). The company of one of first-ever develops service of electric pilotless draft which will begin to provide in the second half of 2021. Clients will be able to do without purchase of the truck and capital costs, paying transport services in a subscription or for distance in kilometers.

Transportation of goods using UAVs as service, it is profitable to clients who, as a rule, have no specialists ready to service of the autonomous truck and management of it. The Evokargo truck was developed from scratch as pilotless. In it there are no expensive systems expected the driver: cabin, chair, steering management system. The Evokargo trucks are economically more profitable and pay off quicker, than remade from normal. The built-in systems of security are aimed at care of pedestrians and other participants of traffic.

The machine is equipped with a hybrid supply system — from electric batteries and from hydrogen fuel elements. At a total charge of accumulators and filling with hydrogen which takes only five minutes the car can pass up to 1000 km without stopping. The hybrid supply system allows to increase utilization of the machine due to reduction of a downtime that is important at trunk transportations. The set of the factors reducing the cost of the machine "Evokargo" without influence on productivity and security allows to cut down significantly expenses — to 60% of cost value of transportation.

Evokargo technologies have the export potential, thanks to a number of features in comparison with analogs. The company plans start of active international expansion in 2021. Including it is ready to begin to provide service of trunk transportations in a service business model in 2022 in the countries where it will allow the regulatory base, including Russia.

Technical characteristics of EVO-1

For November, 2020 EVO-1 has the following characteristics:

  • Loading capacity: 1.5 - 3 tons depending on model.
  • Battery capacity: LiFePo 36 kWh
  • Electric motors: the synchronous electric motor without permanent magnets.
  • It is adapted for use of hydrogen fuel elements.
  • Course stock from one charging without use of a hydrogen fuel element: 250 km.
  • Charging speed from the electric network: 40 minutes ("fast charging").
  • Speed of filling with hydrogen: 5 minutes (increases a run to 1000 km).
