At 16:51 an error was discovered and at 16:56 the execution of the command was stopped as a matter of urgency. It turned out that the incorrect filtering principle was applied during the formation, as a result of which active virtual machines were included in the list. As a result of the incident, 0.77% of the total number of virtual machines and boot disks were removed. At the same time, virtual machines were affected only in the ru-central1-c zone, the company says. Yandex explained to TAdviser that ru-central1 is one of the Cloud accessibility zones (the infrastructure of one of the data centers), and in total the platform has three availability zones, each isolated from software or hardware failures in other zones.
