Scheme of work

This standard of graphic memory uses 8-bit anticipatory selection (prefetch) and two-channel separation on frequencies. By the way, GDDR2 uses 4-bit prefetch, as well as GDDR3. With Eight-bit selection became will be applied only since GDDR4 standard. For the first time in the history of graphic memory the standard operates zhdvumya with separate frequencies. - CK and WCK. The last is twice more than the first. Commands are transferred in the SDR mode at a frequency of CK. In turn the addressing information is transferred in the DDR mode at a frequency of CK, and data are transferred in the DDR mode at a frequency of WCK. Such original approach gives the chance to lower the problems connected with transmission quality and to receive extremely high, in comparison with predecessors, the speed of a transfer of data. Due to high speed increases the probability of emergence of an error therefore GDDR5 applies the specialized system of search of errors similar to what is used in network technologies. At detection of an error by a technical supervayzor at which command was recorded an error it will be executed for the second time.
