2017: Microsoft constructed for employees of the house on trees

The Microsoft corporation built for the employees three houses on trees. The company told[1] in the blog about it.

All three houses (two open and one closed) are organized as working spaces and are on trees. They were designed for a campus of the company in Redmond by Pete Nelson: the author of a TV show of Treehouse Masters which broadcasts Animal Planet channel.

In houses there is all necessary for work: conference rooms, electricity, Wi-Fi and jobs. In the blog Microsoft refers to scientists who proved advantage of fresh air and proximity to the nature for employees. Eva Selbub from Harvard who became the coauthor of the project explains that she in such conditions of people works more productively, is tired more slowly and creatively approaches solving of tasks.

On one of trees there is a cafeteria. On the earth chairs, the street fireplace and a canopy protecting from the sun and a rain are placed. In a clear weather on a canopy the logo of the company appears.

The campus received the certificate of waste-free production of Zero Waste Facility Certification ZWIA which is logging in the "green" LEED standards. The become useless furniture is recovered and transferred to free use to the different organizations participating in the international programs for exchange of the used furniture.

According to the representative of Microsoft, the company does not intend to be satisfied with what has already been achieved. "The staff of Microsoft is deeply convinced of need of environment protection, - quotes the USGBC portal of the area manager of the real estate and office activity of Microsoft Susan Wagner. - We are grateful to GBCI for recognition of our merits and we will and work further on reduction of waste in our headquarters in Redmond"[2].
