2019: Creation of consortium of Agrotech developers

For agriculture and their implementation the resident companies of the Innopolis special economic zone together with the Russian agro-industrial enterprises within consortium Agrotech will be engaged in development of digital technologies. Creation of consortium it was stated in February, 2019 within the Volga region agro-industrial forum in Kazan.

JSC SEZ Innopolis and JSC Tatagroleasing acted as initiators of creation of consortium Agrotech. The main task of creation of consortium – consolidation of efforts and opportunities of developer companies of digital technologies and the agricultural enterprises for the complete solution of tasks of implementation of IT products in agriculture and transition to qualitatively new model of the agroindustry.

The CEO of the Innopolis SEZ Renat Khalimov told that on the consortium Agrotech included 4 companies from the Innopolis SEZ and also 6 more Russian companies. Renat Khalimov noted that the market of digital technologies in agriculture by 2020 will reach 26.8 billion dollars with annual average growth rate of 14.3%. At the same time in such developed agricultural country as Russia the volume of venture investments into digital agrarian technologies is only 1.7 million dollars, and in the USA – 1.87 billion. "Growth potential huge, at the same time 90% of the companies understand that digital technologies need to be implemented that it gives effect, - R. Khalimov said. – We suggest to support our consortium that will allow the IT companies to come into the traditional industry with the solutions for digital economy".

In Russia, according to Renat Khalimov, for agriculture about 180 companies, and all in the world 4 thousand companies are engaged in digital technologies. "We hope that these companies will be included into consortium, to be localized in Innopolis, to create new jobs, together with our university to develop the projects", - the CEO of the Innopolis SEZ told.

The CEO of JSC Tatagroleasing the Azat Ziganshin in agriculture gave an intelligent system of control and management of Agrosignal which implementation allowed to reduce fuel costs by 15% as an example of implementation of digital technologies.
