2020: Purpose of pensions online

Since July 1, 2020 in Ukraine automatic award of pension at achievement of a retirement age is entered. The procedure is performed remotely — it is not necessary to come to departments of the Pension fund of Ukraine.

Service allows to provide all information, necessary for award of pension, in advance and to carry out an inspection of the data which are available in the Pension fund. The service is provided by means of the web portal using the qualified electronic signature (QES).

The user who is not a pensioner and who became authorized on the Internet portal with the help of KEP does the following:

fills attributes of the questionnaire; adds the scanned copies of documents; signs the questionnaire statement of KEP and sends it to body of the Pension fund.

It is reported that based on processing of the questionnaire statement the user will obtain information on automatic award of pension, date of such appointment and the amount of pension using the Sms, means of the web portal and through mobile application.

Further the service will be available also to users who have no KEP. They will be able to become authorized through BankID or the system of electronic identification id.gov.ua.

The documents confirming a labor activity (the service record, documents on training, military service, etc.) can be submitted beforehand. Can submit the service record both the employer, and the user. The pension fund already began work on implementation of the electronic service record.

As reported on the website of the Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine, for day of work of new electronic service applications for pension accrual were submitted by 813 people.

According to data of the Pension fund, all in Ukraine by the beginning of July, 2020 there are more than 11.2 million pensioners. From them more than 8.4 million people receive old-age pension which average size is 3166.53 hryvnias.^[1]
