2021: Establishing a Company

At the end of November 2021, it became known about the creation by the Ariant group of a new company, Ariant Spirits, through which it will engage in the production of strong alcoholic beverages.

Ariant Spirits was registered on November 22, 2021. Its main activity is the production of food alcohol. Igor Kallayanov became the director of the company, he also leads the center of the food industry, which is part of the Ariant Group of Companies.

The legal entity Ariant Spirits was created to obtain a license for the transportation of alcohol. This decision was made in order to save money on logistics and keep prices for alcohol-containing products of the Ariant Food Industry Center, the group's press service said.

The Kommersant newspaper, citing its informant, writes that Ariant plans to create a new production to develop its own portfolio of strong alcoholic beverages, including vodka.

Chairman of Unicorn Capital Advisers Sergey Moiseev in a conversation with the publication noted that the construction of vertically integrated production and a full-fledged product line corresponds to the strategy of the largest alcohol companies. In addition, Ariant alcohol distillation by-products will be able to be used in the pig-breeding division in the production of feed, he adds.

According to Stanislav Kaufman, owner of the Kaufman brand agency, own alcohol production allows to ensure a relatively stable quality of raw materials, as well as reduce the cost of production. Manufacturers of alcoholic beverages compete mainly in terms of prices, he said.

By the end of November 2021, Ariant owns one of the largest wine enterprises in Russia, Kuban-Vino, with a capacity of about 70 million bottles per year, which produces quiet and sparkling wines under the brands Vina Tamani, Aristov, Chateau Tamagne, High Coast, etc.^[1]
