2020: Attraction of €3.2 million investments

At the beginning of December, 2020 the Swedish company Curb which is engaged in cooking only for delivery attracted investments the size of €3.2 million. The received means will go for expansion of the company with emergence of representations across the whole Europe and creation of the world's largest virtual food court with real food.

The pandemic of COVID-19 became a turning point for the restaurant industry, having caused huge demand for delivery services of food and at the same time having become the reason of closing of many thousands of restaurants and cafe. However the delivery service of food is connected with the serious and still not solved problems, such as inappropriate quality of dishes, high prices and low profitability.

The Curb company attracted €3.2 million for creation of the world's largest virtual food court with real food

Founders of Curb - the CEO Carl Tengberg and the director of strategic planning Felipe Gutierrez - intend to correct these defects using new technologies and understanding of consumers. Thanks to carefully carried out analyses, Curb precisely knows what brand to create what market to enter and how to increase the efficiency in the nearest future. Curb creates each brand from scratch, not only using the new ideas of cooks, but also adapting dishes to the changing requests of consumers. Thus, being integrated with the existing platforms of delivery of food, Curb offers the various, changing to taste power supply options to clients who often use delivery services.

According to a virtual webinar of Euromonitor, the culinary enterprises which make food only for delivery without service area of clients, by 2030 will become a basis for absolutely new market worth about $1 trillion. Against the background of a pandemic boom of delivery also the Curb company which hopes to use the received financing for fast expansion develops.[1]
