The solutions Datacard are known around the world and cover the equipment, the software and supplies for the instant plastic card issue of any type: from bank cards and electronic passports, to cards-indentifikatiorov, electronic admissions, etc. The Datacard company was founded to Minneapolis (the State of Minnesota, the USA) in 1969 for the purpose of development, production, sales and support of the high-performance equipment for stamping and the magnetic record of plastic cards for the American market developing at that time.

For the 40th summer history the Datacard company is the most sold brand in the industry of safe identification and solutions of personalisation of cards. The solutions Datacard support releases of large volumes of cards and instant card issue, release and management of the protected maps, production of passports, delivery, a complete set and packaging. Datacard integrates the equipment, the software and supplies using complex approach which raises the security level, increases quality and reduces total ownership cost.

Products

Datacard SP25 Plus is the desktop sublimation printer of initial level for personalisation of plastic cards in small volumes.

The Datacard SD260 printer has the standard of the improved color management of sRGB for a qualitative color rendition, can issue up to 200 cards per hour and is equipped with a disk tray on 100 cards.

Datacard SD360 is intended for full-color and monochrome printing of plastic cards in large volumes. In addition it can be equipped with the encoder of a magnetic ISO or JIS band, the reader of contact and proximity cards.

The Datacard SR300 printer uses a retransferny method of printing (technology of double carry of the image on the surface of the card). SR300 model allows to apply the image both with front, and from a card reverse side for one pass, to perform the magnetic record and also to initialize cards with a contact chip.

History

2014: Datacard Group and Entrust announced rebranding

On November 4, 2014 at the CARTES Secure Connexions 2014 exhibition in Paris Datacard Group and Entrust announced a new name of the united company - Entrust Datacard, and provided a new logo and corporate style. It occurred nearly a year later after acquisition of Datacard Group of Entrust company. In this connection, Todd Wilkinson, the president and the CEO, announced that the new corporate brand saves the capital and heritage of both companies and also commitment to their corporate values.

The new company name allows to save a product portfolio of both brands – and Datacard and Entrust. In addition to already existing offers, the united company develops new solutions for end users and the corporate sector based on Datacard and Entrust technologies.
