Gradiyent Ltd is the geophysical company executing microseismic researches for the purpose of assessment of oil-and-gas content of geological objects.

Development History

  • 2001.
  • The first pilot works when developing the NSZ method which confirmed distinctions of a form of a range over an oil and gas deposit and out of it.
  • 2002-2005.
  • A series of trial works in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. Development of the first software tool of data processing of microseisms. Studying of effect, accumulation of statistics. The hypothesis of the resonant nature of a low frequency effect over oil pools was for the first time made. The first publication "Features of Interpretation of Spectral Characteristics of Natural Microseisms for the Local Forecast of Oil-bearing Capacity in the conditions of the Republic of Tatarstan" (E.V. Biryaltsev, V.A. Ryzhov, N.Ya. Shabalin) in the magazine: "Acceptance and information processing in complex information systems".
  • 2006.
  • Together with NIIMM of N.G. Chebotaryov trial work the "Development of a fiziko-geological basis of low-frequency seismic sounding of traps of complex structure of hydrocarbons in different structural and facial zones" which confirmed a resonant hypothesis of effect was performed on 8 areas with the known oil-bearing capacity. For the first time results of researches were provided at the international EAGE conference with the report of "The analysis of microseisms spectrum at prospecting of oil reservoir on Republic Tatarstan" E.V. Birialtsev, I.N. Plotnikova, I.R. Khabibulin, N.Y. Shabalin.
  • 2007.
  • Expansion of geography of works out of borders of the Republic of Tatarstan. Exit to territories of the Komi Republic, Republic of Udmurtia, Republic of Kalmykia, Orenburg region, Samara region. Researches confirmed existence of effect in different oil provinces. The deep binding of anomalies of NSZ which allowed to connect them with the stratigraphic horizons is for the first time applied. Development of software package 2-D of computational modeling of distribution of microseismic fluctuations in the geological environment.
  • 2008.
  • Implementation of complex 2-D of computational modeling for receiving possible forms of ranges in the explored territories. The complex of the automated methods of filtering of noises and postprocessing of signals is developed and implemented.
  • 2009.
  • The international seminar with participation of representatives of Spectraseis companies, ANCHAR, IFZ RAN, RGU of oil and gas of Gubkin, etc. is organized. The software package constructed on three-level architecture is developed for acceleration of processing of microseismic data. All resource-intensive calculations are taken out on the application server which actively uses distributed computing
  • Participation in the international INTERNATIONAL PETROLEUM TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE (IPTC) Doha, Qatar conference.
  • 2010.
  • Resource-intensive calculations of full-wave computational modeling were postponed for graphic processors that gave acceleration of calculations by 200 times. Software tools are developed for 3D modeling. Certification on compliances to requirements of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 for geologic-geophysical researches is undergone.
  • 2011.
  • Success of use of calculations on GPU was mentioned by NVIDIA company. A victory in the tender "50 best innovation ideas for Tatarstan" in the Start of Innovations nomination on the "Supercomputer Software of a Method of the Analysis of a Field of Natural Microseisms for Exploration on Oil and Gas" project. Expansion of geography of works: researches in Khanty-Mansi, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, the Perm region. A new milestone in development of the software package NSZProfessional for processing of microseismic signals. Pilot works on monitoring of GRP.
  • 2012.
  • The NSZ technology was presented at an exhibition of the best innovation projects of the Republic of Tatarstan. The president of the Republic highly appreciated the achieved results and suggested to implement actively technology in the oil industry. Active application TEConts of GRP on objects of JSC Tatneft company. Use of 3D computational modeling for solving of tasks on gas fields
  • The first works on monitoring of the reservoir are performed.
  • 2013.
  • The first works on carrying out monitoring of multistage GRP in an open horizontal trunk
