As representatives of the Mobile Card NPO clarified to TAdviser, as of the beginning of June 2023, Modern Payment Solutions JSC owns 100% of the shares of the Mobile Card NPO, the acquisition of which became known in September 2021.

VTB received 99.99 shares of the Mobile Card NGO

On September 17, 2021, it became known that VTB State Bank received a share in the Mobile Card NPO, which, according to the order of President Vladimir Putin, is a single betting center for bookmakers. Thus, VTB entered a new market for itself.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, AO {hide} OOO {/hide} "Modern Payment Solutions," a joint venture between VTB and the Umar Kremlin Boxing Progress Center, received a 99.99% stake in Mobile Card. The remaining 0.01% by September 17, 2021 remain in the ownership of the First SRO.

Earlier, the founders of the ECUPS operator included ten individuals, including the president of the Betting League Yuri Krasovsky, the first vice-president of the bookmaker Olga Zhuravskaya and the chairman of the board of directors of NPO Mobile Card LLC Anton Rozhkovsky.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing the Mobile Card NGO as the operator of the Unified Rate Transfer Accounting Center on August 25, 2021. By the same order, Modern Payment Solutions JSC was appointed by the organization financing the activities of the Unified Gambling Regulator (ERAI). The ERAI should replace the existing SRO and TsUPIS, as well as take control over the payment of targeted contributions. ERAI should begin work from the IV quarter of 2021.
